Fundamentals of Aviation

The Fundamentals of Aviation course is meticulously designed to introduce newly enrolled cadets to the intricate world of aviation. Its primary objective is to provide a strong foundation for those aspiring to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) by covering essential topics such as STEM and Aviation English, Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Principles of Flight, Human Factors, Meteorology, Communications, Performance and Limitations, and Navigation.

Through interactive classroom sessions, cadets will develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills necessary to navigate the aviation industry with confidence. They will also gain a strong sense of professionalism, safety awareness, and ethical conduct, key attributes of a successful pilot.

This course is open to students as young as 15 years old, serving as an excellent “self-assessment tool” for those curious about aviation. It helps them determine their aptitude and passion for the field before committing to full flight training. For those already set on becoming pilots, this course represents the first structured phase of their journey, equipping them with the foundational knowledge needed before advancing to flight training and subsequent theoretical and practical phases leading to their ATPL License.

With expert instructors, a well-resourced learning environment, and a curriculum designed to ensure a seamless transition into modular training, this course is the perfect starting point for local and international students eager to begin their aviation careers.

EASA/ICAO AB-initio Airline Program

Our comprehensive EASA/ICAO Ab-initio Airline Pilot Program is tailored to elevate aspiring pilots from no prior flying experience to fully certified commercial professionals, graduating with a frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (f-ATPL) recognized by the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority. The journey begins with the Fundamentals of Aviation course, offered at our Baghdad facility (a unique opportunity for Iraqi students or students-residents of Iraq), or at one of our other academic bases, before advancing to intensive flight training at our EASA-accredited training centers in Cyprus or Greece or our ICAO-accredited training centers.

Developed in collaboration with top-tier international airlines, the program delivers a rigorous and refined curriculum aligned with the highest European aviation standards. From the Private Pilot License (PPL) phase and Structured Hours Building (SHB), through ATPL theory, to the final Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (CPL/ME-IR), each stage is designed to cultivate technical expertise, discipline, and leadership.

In addition, the program provides a valuable route for current license holders (ICAO, FAA, or others) to upgrade their qualifications to an EASA license—paving the way for broader career opportunities across the global aviation market and within the growing Iraqi aviation sector.
