Intercontinental Aviation Academy Global is committed to delivering the highest level of training excellence through industry-leading standards and innovative methodologies. That's why we designed comprehensive educational programs featuring specialized courses, personalized mentoring, and cutting-edge flight training that prepare aspiring pilots for successful careers with major airlines worldwide. Our EASA and ICAO-certified programs, combined with strategic partnerships across multiple continents, ensure our graduates meet the exacting demands of today's aviation industry.
Our EASA program is crafted to guide aspiring pilots from no prior aviation experience (ab initio) to becoming qualified commercial pilots with a ‘frozen’ Airline Transport Pilot License (f-ATPL). Upon completing the program, you will be fully prepared to launch your career as a professional pilot. Training is conducted at our EASA-accredited, state-of-the-art facilities at the exceptional Crete International Airport base.
The course curriculum, developed in collaboration with leading airlines, meets the rigorous technical demands of pilot training while fostering both personal and professional growth at every stage. Our modern facilities are equipped with everything necessary to ensure a high-quality training experience and remarkable achievements.
Students based in Crete have the opportunity to complete their entire EASA pilot training journey. This begins with the Fundamentals of Aviation course, progressing to the Private Pilot License (PPL) and Structured Hours Building (SHB) phase. Following this, trainees advance to ATPL theory studies before completing the final phase of training: the EASA CPL/ME-IR.
The Fundamentals of Aviation course is meticulously designed to introduce newly enrolled cadets to the intricate world of aviation. Its primary objective is to provide a strong foundation for those aspiring to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) by covering essential topics such as STEM and Aviation English, Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Principles of Flight, Human Factors, Meteorology, Communications, Performance and Limitations, and Navigation.
Through interactive classroom sessions, cadets will develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills necessary to navigate the aviation industry with confidence. They will also gain a strong sense of professionalism, safety awareness, and ethical conduct, key attributes of a successful pilot.
This course is open to students as young as 15 years old, serving as an excellent “self-assessment tool” for those curious about aviation. It helps them determine their aptitude and passion for the field before committing to full flight training. For those already set on becoming pilots, this course represents the first structured phase of their journey, equipping them with the foundational knowledge needed before advancing to flight training and subsequent theoretical and practical phases leading to their ATPL License.
With expert instructors, a well-resourced learning environment, and a curriculum designed to ensure a seamless transition into modular training, this course is the perfect starting point for local and international students eager to begin their aviation careers.
At our Crete base, we offer EASA-approved Private Pilot License (PPL) training, tailored for individuals who wish to fly recreationally or start a career as a professional pilot. This PPL provides the flexibility to pursue various international aviation pathways.
Our program builds a strong foundation, guiding students from their initial training to earning their EASA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and ultimately progressing to the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Upon completing the course, graduates are certified to fly solo or transport passengers for private purposes, while gaining the confidence and expertise needed for advanced flight training and a rewarding aviation career.
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Theory is a crucial theoretical milestone in any modular or integrated flight training program, serving as the foundation for advanced aviation knowledge and career progression. This intensive phase equips aspiring pilots with a deep understanding of the technical, operational, and regulatory aspects of commercial aviation, essential for safely and effectively operating multi-crew aircraft in a complex airspace environment.
Completing the ATPL Theory demonstrates a pilot’s readiness to advance to the practical stages of their training, such as multi-engine (ME) and instrument rating (IR) certifications, and eventually qualify for their Airline Transport Pilot License. It is a key step in building the technical and theoretical proficiency required to excel in the competitive field of commercial aviation.

The purpose of our Instrument Rating IR course is to give you the skills and experience needed to make approaches in poor weather and fly in Class A airspace. This course is typically one of the final elements in commercial flight training.
Training occurs in our state of the art FNPT II simulator. Once the required skill level is achieved, the pilot will progress onto our advanced aircraft, equipped with a Garmin G1000 Glass cockpit to fly IFR routes and make instrument approaches into some of the largest regional and international airports.
A minimum of 30 hours of flying must be completed, Exact training hours will depend on previous flying experience.
