Strong turnout in Dubai marks another milestone for FlyIAA in its home market as the academy continues building the next generation of aviation professionals from the UAE to the world.

Dubai, UAE — September 2026 — FlyIAA UAE has officially welcomed its newest class of aspiring pilots during a successful Open Day and Induction Day at Aloft Dubai Creek, bringing together nearly 140 attendees for a day dedicated to aviation, ambition and the future of pilot training in the UAE.

At the heart of the occasion was the official induction of FlyIAA’s September 2026 UAE intake, with 25 students registered as part of the new “Tomcats” batch.

For FlyIAA, the occasion represents more than the beginning of another class.

It is another milestone in the academy’s journey from the UAE — the home of its headquarters, the centre of its regional strategy, and a country whose vision, infrastructure and ambition continue to shape the future of global aviation.

The Tomcats Begin Their Journey

The Induction Day marked the formal beginning of a new chapter for 25 cadets who now join the FlyIAA training pathway in the UAE.

The students were introduced to the standards, discipline and responsibilities that come with professional aviation training, while current FlyIAA cadets shared their own experiences, challenges and achievements with the incoming class.

These firsthand testimonials offered the new students something no brochure or presentation can replicate: a genuine view of what it means to begin the journey toward the flight deck.

And as the Tomcats now take their first steps, they join a wider FlyIAA community built around one common objective — developing professional aviators capable of meeting the standards of an increasingly demanding global industry.

A Strong Response from the UAE Aviation Community

The Open Day attracted a significant number of prospective students, families and aviation enthusiasts from across the UAE and the wider region.

Nearly 140 participants attended the combined sessions, reflecting the continued strength of interest in aviation careers and professional pilot training in one of the world’s most important aviation markets.

Attendees engaged directly with FlyIAA representatives, instructors and students, gaining a clearer understanding of pilot training pathways, academic requirements, career progression and the opportunities available through FlyIAA’s expanding international training network.

The strong turnout was not simply about numbers.

It was a reflection of something larger — growing confidence in FlyIAA’s presence, direction and long-term commitment to the UAE

Leadership, Experience and Industry Insight

The event brought together members of FlyIAA’s leadership and instructional team, providing students and families with direct access to the people responsible for shaping the academy’s training environment and future development.

Among those attending were Mr. Hamdi Osman, CEO & Founder of SolitAir Holding and Chairman of IAE parent company of FlyIAA; Mr. Frederico Fernandes,  Global CEO at FlyIAA; and Chief Ground Instructors Mary Pacucci and Head of students Experience and TKI Al Harath Bin Sama.

Their presence reflected FlyIAA’s belief that aviation training must extend beyond the classroom

It requires mentorship, industry exposure, leadership and a clear understanding of the professional standards expected from the very first day of training.
