A new generation begins its journey as FlyIAA continues to demonstrate resilience, growth and commitment to aviation training in Lebanon and across the region.

Beirut, Lebanon, September 2026: FlyIAA has officially welcomed its newest generation of aspiring pilots during its September Induction and Open Day at Rotana Arjaan, marking Intake No. 22 in Lebanon and another important chapter in the academy’s longstanding presence in the country.

Named the “Tomcats,” the September 2026 batch represents more than the beginning of another training cycle. It reflects continuity, resilience and FlyIAA’s determination to keep creating opportunities for young aviators despite the uncertainties and challenges Lebanon has faced.

The induction ceremony formally welcomed the new cadets into the FlyIAA community, with students receiving their uniforms and stripes: the first visible symbols of the responsibility, discipline and professionalism that will define the journey ahead.

Resilience Written Into the Journey

For FlyIAA, Intake 22 carries particular significance.

Operating and growing in Lebanon has never simply been about opening classrooms or enrolling students. It has been about maintaining confidence in Lebanese aviation talent and ensuring that aspiring pilots continue to have access to international training pathways regardless of the circumstances surrounding them.

Through years of economic, political and regional uncertainty, FlyIAA has continued to adapt, expand and move forward.

The challenges changed. The mission did not.

Intake 22 is another success story born from that resilience, and another demonstration of FlyIAA’s commitment to setting a higher standard for aviation training in Lebanon and across the region.

Opening the Door to the Next Generation

Alongside the induction ceremony, FlyIAA hosted an Open Day for prospective students and families interested in understanding the journey toward becoming a professional pilot.

Attendees met directly with FlyIAA instructors and representatives, explored the different stages of pilot training, and gained practical insight into the standards, responsibilities and career pathways associated with professional aviation.

More importantly, they were introduced to a training ecosystem that today extends far beyond one location, connecting students with FlyIAA’s growing network, international bases, instructors, aircraft and industry relationships.

For some, the Open Day was an introduction to aviation.

For others, it may have been the day a lifelong ambition became a plan.

22 Intakes, and the Story Continues

Each FlyIAA intake represents another group of young people deciding to pursue one of the world’s most demanding professions.

But Intake 22 represents something more.

It is proof that even through uncertainty, progress can continue.

It is proof that aviation ambition in Lebanon remains alive.

And it is another step in FlyIAA’s wider mission to develop the next generation of aviation professionals while building an increasingly international training network connecting Lebanon to our headquarters in the UAE and beyond.

The Tomcats have now begun their journey.

Their uniforms are on.

Their stripes have been earned.

Their next chapter will be written in the skies.
